    • Mia DiBenedetto says:

A list of all dogs who ran, and those who qualified can be found on the Master National Retriever Club web site listed under the 2011 event. Here’s the link:

A list of 2012 Qualifiers is not posted, we do not post that data until the 2012 Season is over– July 31.

Let me know if you don’t find what you’re looking for. Thanks. Mia

      Hi Jerry
Here is a link to updated list of 2012 Qualifiers. We are constantly updating the list, so check back often. Thanks. Mia

  2. Tom Dorroh says:

Jerry, Retriever News will soon be listing dogs qual for 2012. This is done in each issue as they become qualified. Usually starts May or June.

  3. Claude Rochon says:

What did a dog need to be qualify for the master ? How many pass and did it need a master title ?? Thank you !

    • Mia DiBenedetto says:

Claude, if a dog has an AKC Senior Hunter title, then he needs five AKC Hunt Test passes in Master to earn a title. If a dog does not have an AKC Senior Title, then he needs 6 passes to earn an AKC Master Hunter title.
In order to qualify for the 2012 Master National event, a dog needs 6 passes at the Master level. All 6 passes must come from AKC Master tests held at Master National Retriever Club tests between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012 to qualify for Alabama. Earning an AKC Master title and qualifying for the Master National event can be concurrent.
I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for posting. Mia DiBenedetto

  4. Claude Rochon says:

    HI !

Here in Canada if a dog is AKC master hunter in USA, to be able to qualify for the canadian master national, this dog just need to run and pass two CKC master tests. I would like to know if it’s the same thing for the AKC master national ?
If my dog is CKC master hunter, what did she need to qualify for the AKC master national.

    Thank you !
Excuse my english but I do my best.

    • Mia DiBenedetto says:

Below is the section from the MNRC Constitution. (updated 10/24/09)

  5. Julie Moore says:

New to the MNR and wondering if there is a calendar or schedule posted on the website anywhere yet? I assume the 10/18 start date is for registration, etc., what is the date of the first test ? Excited and looking forward to our first time at the big show

    • Mia DiBenedetto says:

Thanks for writing Julie. The 2012 Master National page is online, and will be updated more frequently in the coming weeks. The Handlers Meeting which is on Friday, and the FIRST day of the Master National test begins on Saturday, Oct. 20th. This represents a day earlier than previous years. To get an idea of the schedule you can view the 2011 Premium for more details on what goes on during the week. We look forward to meeting you in Alabama! Mia DiBenedetto

  6. Richard Myers says:

I understand that the 2012 Master National will now have 4 flights. Has it been determined how many series will be run (or required) for each flight?

    • Mia DiBenedetto says:

      Thanks for posting Richard
Yes, the 2012 Master National event will have Four flights. Officials plan to complete six series, but it is impossible to know for certain due to weather and other unforeseeable circumstances. Hope to see you there! Mia DiBenedetto

      • Richard Myers says:

Thanks, Mia. I was confused about the number of series the judges would run when I read Bill Teague’s comment in his bio about the judges running “4 series.” I think he must be referring to 4 flights. See you in Alabama. Thanks again…

  7. Mia DiBenedetto says:

Yes Richard, I think you are absolutely correct. The original ‘model’ for the Master National was that it would suplicate TWO back-to-back weekend hunt tests, thus 6 series. See you in Alabama!

  8. Kevin Luthenauer says:

Can you please check and let us know if there is a problem. Our dog is “Luthenauer’s Troublesome Coon Creek Susie”.

    Thank You
